Advanced Running Analysis

Run Better, Faster And Injury-Free

Runners seek physical therapy treatment for different reasons—injury, injury prevention, and/or to increase running efficiency and speed. No matter the reason for their visit, a biomechanical running analysis is always a part of our evaluation process.

What are Biomechanics Anyway?

Good biomechanics means you have good running form. This includes everything from your posture to hip flexion to how your feet contact the ground, and more. Good running form means that you’re less prone to injury and can enhance your running efficiency

Why do we do Biomechanics?

Biomechanical running analysis gives our therapists insight into the possible cause of injury and any biomechanical inefficiencies. By reviewing a runner's form on a treadmill and then analyzing from all sides using slow-motion video, we can determine what potential biomechanical faults or functional muscle weaknesses are present—for example, the way the foot lands or the length of the stride.
